Inspired by this weeks showcase - I had a other go at felt roses following the instructions of the lovely Upcycled Creatively. Her tutorial has certainly neaten up my efforts!!

It's been button central here the last few days! Lots of stock for exciting new customer! Now to card them up and off we go!

Epic fail today. So busy rushing around and sorting out the builder coming to fix the roof on Monday and then a gig in the evening left no opportunity to take any pictures and I'm fairly sure you don't want to see the images of us clearing out Splosh's room ready for roofers on Monday!
So instead a stolen picture of where I was last night to give an indication of just how posh the gig was!

Today has been a disaster! spent large chunk of it in the car in the rain and then way too long waiting for an outpatients appointment (clinic was running over an hour late!!) So to cheer myself up in the windowless hospital I hopped through the pictures on facebook. This one made me smile so I thought I'd share it! Quite possibly my favourite place in the world. Mt Rainier in the USA. Breathtakingly beautiful and just what we need to cheer up a drizzly rainy day in flat and boring Essex!

I can't even begin to tell you all how much this picture means. This is me and 3 of my cousins, 2 of whom I haven't seen since our Grandmothers funeral 24 years ago! We spent the whole afternoon catching up at the V&A tea rooms - it was just the best! Thank you Karen for finding them!

I'm a proud Mummy today! (not that I'm not proud every other day) Having been into London just before Christmas to purchase these splendid shoes, Bernard had her first pointe lesson today! Needless to say she has sore toes now. Well done sweetie!

I found this poor embroidery thing buried in a box - and thought I should finish it and make it up into a cushion. I inherited a whole stack of these from a maiden auntie when she went into a home and haven't done anything with them. Whilst it's not really  my thing, it is amazing relaxing in front of the TV in the evenings - not much thought needed - always good for me!!

5th January

I'm very lucky that Mr K bought me a photographic light box for Christmas. I think Sasha has misunderstood its purpose. "I'm ready for my close up Mr De Milne"  

It will be interesting - if a little concerning to look back over the year and see how many of my pictures end up involving my cats be irritating ? Should I take bets?

4th January

This is the result of stupid kitten!! He decided that it would be a good idea to climb into the back of the fridge behind the pump and then try to crawl out though a different space too small for him. I was just trying to help! And they bloody hurt! May need a stiff drink to dull the pain. 

I should add that Mr K rescued him whilst I  hopped about swearing and he is fine - although a little shame faced!! (the kitten that is not Mr K)

3rd January

Just about sums up my day! By this point the rain had eased of a little, but I actually pulled over and stopped driving during the 3 miles from the auction rooms to my house because I couldn't see the road infront of me, the rain was that heavy! Lets cross our fingers for a little sunshine tomorrow!

2nd January

We went to Hobbycraft today for Mr Keynko's birthday presents. Sadly there wasn't anything there he wanted that he didn't already have, so he came home and spent the money on Amazon instead. Needless to say Bernard and I had lots of fun hunting in the bargain bins. We found these rather cute gift boxes reduced to 49p for a pack of 6 and bought them all. Now all small purchases from the collective will be delivered in said cute boxes!!

1st January

They seemed so happy to sleep and play in the box of used wrapping paper, I didn't have the heart to get rid of it. But packing up Christmas was a good excuse and anyway I was sick of tripping over it! Sorry kittens !
